Tuscan castle in vineyards at golden hour

Bloom Retreats — Italy

Bloom in Tuscany

7 days in a private castle in the hills near Siena.
6–12 September 2027.

Our first Bloom in Europe

This one is something special.

For years I’ve dreamt of bringing Bloom to Europe. Tuscany was always the answer — a private castle in the hills, a fresco shala to practice in, long slow Italian days. Our first retreat outside of Bali. It feels big, and it should.

This isn’t an escape from your life. It’s a week to remember who you are underneath it. Come as you are. Leave a little more yourself.

The castle in the Tuscan hills at golden hour

The villa

A private castle, just for us.

Our home for the week is a UNESCO castle that has stood for nearly a thousand years.

Eleven bedrooms across two floors, looking out over the vineyards. A fifteen-metre pool ringed by lemon trees and olive groves, with Siena in the distance.

Fifteen minutes from the city. A world away from everything else.

The cloister courtyard set for a long table
An ensuite bathroom with French windows over the grounds
Fresco-covered shala set up for yoga practice

The practice

A Tuscan shala, painted with frescoes.

We practice in the heart of the villa — a fresco-covered shala, calm and grounding, with everything provided: mats, blocks, blankets, straps, bolsters, sound system.

On warm mornings we’ll take it outside, onto the lawn beneath the olive trees, the hills opening out in front of us. Yoga, breathwork, meditation — meeting you exactly where you are.

Beyond the mat

Tuscany, slowly.

The medieval skyline of Siena

Rolling Tuscan vineyards

A long table set under a tree in the garden

Cooking with Nonna

Step into the heart of Italian tradition as you learn treasured family recipes from a beloved Nonna who grew up within the castle walls, sharing generations of stories, culture, and authentic Tuscan cooking. Enjoy a delicious meal made with love.

A day in Tuscany

Unhurried, on purpose.

Morning

Practice in the shala

Wake gently. Coffee on the terrace. Then yoga and breathwork in the shala, or out on the lawn under the olive trees.

Midday

A long Italian brunch

Seasonal, local, made with love. Eaten slowly at a long table, with conversation that lasts as long as the food.

Afternoon

Yours

Rest. Read. Float in the pool. Wander the grounds. Some days we go further — Siena, a winery, the hills.

Evening

Practice and wander

Yin, restorative, meditation. And a walk through the vineyards before the light goes.

Night

Dinner, then sunset

We eat together. We watch the hills change colour. We don't rush anywhere.

More about Tarryn

Past Bloom guests

My third Bloom retreat and once again my heart is so full. Sharing this experience with my mum, connecting with incredible women from around the world and being guided by Tarryn’s transformative yoga and thoughtful retreat experience was deeply nourishing. Tarryn doesn’t miss a beat when organising the most beautiful retreats for women to deeply connect and have fun. I left feeling stronger, more grounded and incredibly grateful. I’ve bloomed once again.

Julie, Australia

I didn’t know what to expect but I was honoured to be part of Bloom and meet all the lovely ladies, the young and the not so young like myself. First time yoga and I am so grateful. I thoroughly enjoyed it and leave very, very happy and content. Thank you Tarryn.

Fila, New Zealand

After Bloom, I felt lighter, more grounded and deeply inspired. The retreat gave me the space to slow down, reflect and reconnect on what truly matters to me.

Quynh, Netherlands

Bloom retreat in Bali with Tarryn was even more magical than I expected. Tarryn created such a warm, supportive and welcoming environment, making sure everyone felt included and cared for. I am so grateful for this experience and will definitely be joining the next retreat.
